Hair Arts Institute strives to provide an amazing education to our students AND stylish tailored services at a great price. With every appointment you are supporting our students' growth and learning - we so appreciate our clients!

Instructor Supervision and Service Times

Our student stylists work under the supervision of a licensed and experienced instructor. Our staff will be present for your consultation and our student will check in periodically so that our staff can provide hands-on guidance and instruction. You may request a specific student stylist, but the instructor you work with may change based on our staff schedule and the service you request.

Learning takes time! If you have another appointment or responsibility after your service, please let our students and staff know so that we can keep your availability in mind :)

Payments and Gratuitites

We accept most forms of payment including cash, checks (with a matching ID), debit/credit cards, and Apple Pay. Please be aware that Hair Arts Institute cannot add a gratuity to your payment, and that if you wish to tip your student stylist, cash is preferred.

Services Offered

We offer tailored haircuts, hair color, styling, and shaving services for all lengths and textures. We do not offer children's services and clients must be 13+ to book an appointment. We do not offer braiding, event styling, or retexturing services. If your requested service is outside of our curriculum we prefer to refer you to a licensed salon or barbershop so that you can find an experienced stylist who can achieve your hair goals.

Food and Beverages

We want you to stay healthy, happy, and hydrated during your visit but with safety and cleanliness in mind, we do not allow food or open beverages in our services areas. Water bottles, hydroflasks, et cetera are welcome :) We know that color services take time, so if you do need to step away for a quick bite, please alert our student/staff. We'll do our very best to arrange a few minutes for you to relax and snack in our reception area.

Haircolor in an Instructional Environment

The health of your hair and the quality of our services are our top priorities! If you are seeking a "transformative" color change, you may need to visit for a series of appointments. Your current hair health and color history may also affect our ability to achieve your hair goals. If our instructor feels that your vision is outside of the scope of what is possible in our instructional environment, or that corrective services are required, we may refer you to an experienced licensed stylist or ask that you sign a chemical service waiver before your service.

Visitors During Your Service

Visitors not receiving services may relax in our comfy reception area during your service. We ask that you secure childcare before your appointment because children must have adult supervision in our waiting area. For their safety, children may not be present in our service areas where dangerous chemicals and tools could be within reach. Thank you for your help as we focus on providing a great service and quality instruction to our students.
