Our Barber Program

Our barber program is a quality curriculum to empower our students to learn the way that suits them best. The program covers a range of topics, including haircutting and styling, shaving, beard and mustache grooming, scalp treatments, and salon management. With hands-on training, students have the opportunity to develop their skills to bring their creative visions for clients to life.

With the dedicated support and mentorship that comes from small class sizes, students can gain confidence in learning theory, technique, vision and business skills related to barbering. At our school you’ll find a team who believes in you and the unique talent you can bring to your craft. Our job is to nurture and help refine that talent to help you master your strengths to apply to your future clients and your potential book of business.

In our barbering program, students can learn the necessary techniques to become proficient in haircutting, styling, and coloring for all types of hair, not just men’s haircuts. Students can have the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop their own unique approach to hair design.[Added after content conversation.]

Modern Business Fundamentals

At the Hair Arts Institute, students not only learn the technical skills needed to succeed in the beauty and barbering industry but also modern business fundamentals. Our curriculum includes courses in marketing, sales, financial management, and customer service, among other topics.

These courses are designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to operate a successful business or advance their careers in the industry.

  • Proof of Age (Minimum of 16 years old)
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
  • Paid Application Fee
  • Register with the State Regulatory Agency

Careers in Barbering

While the Hair Arts Institute cannot guarantee employment for Graduates, assistance in finding suitable employment is provided by posting area job openings. Students also receive classroom training on how to write a resume, complete an employment application, and prepare for an effective interview. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to obtain professional salon exposure, secure future employment, and easily transition from school to work.
